On Monday, 17th June 2013 the long awaited LATINA-Uganda training was inaugurated by the Ag. University Librarian Mrs. Liz State.

It was evident on the faces of the facilitators, that they were delighted by the opportunity of being trainers.  On the other hand, the students exhibited optimism through the individual expectations voiced out during their introduction. Top on the list of expectations was the desire to learn how to use and apply new technologies in their personal and work life.

Activities of special interest on the first day were introductions & expectations of new students,  training in blogging, Google-maps, and lastly a video of the experiences of the 2010-2012 LATINA graduates.

Indeed by the close of the first day, 2013 participants could not wait for what the facilitators had for them on the second day!
