LATINA UGANDA – Day Eight- Wednesday 26th June 2013

June 26, 2013

Group work in progress and participants are working hard to meet deadlines. LATINA emphasizes group work as a form of cooperative learning to enable participants to develop communication, collaborative skills and critical thinking.

Each group has been assigned facilitators to provide guidance as need arises. Participants seem happy so far! So what does the future hold for librarians with such digital skills?

Putting to practice what we have learned from Latina training 2013 as we work on the group projects. It is challenging but I am sure we shall reap excellent results.

The future of the Librarians who have acquired knowledge skills from the Latina training is bright as they will be able to meet the needs of the users in the digital era/ environment.

The future for librarians is bright if they can be creative enough in using their ICT skills in creating useful resources. These resources may include wesites, google forms, videography, etc all of which are crucial in information management and dissemination.

This practical part is good as it makes us master what we’ve learnt before. Thanks to Latina team.
