LATINA 2015
LATINA stands for Learning and Teaching in a Digital World.
Applications are hereby invited from the Consortium of Uganda University Libraries (CUUL) member institutions to attend specialized workshops.
Dates: 19th-23rd October 2015
Venue: Makerere University Business School Library, Nakawa
Expectation:
LATINA participants are expected to apply acquired skills in their respective institutions.
Qualification:
- Applicants should posses a bachelor degree in librarianship, in teaching or other professional fields.
- To be regular users of computers at work or at home
All applicants should study information about the course on the web before they choose to apply. The programme demands personal commitment, since it requires a substantial amount of work before, during and after the on-site training.
Applications are invited from 16th September – 16th October 2015. Selection process will be on First-come-First serve basis. Geographical location, type of library and professional background will also be taken into account during the selection process.
Funding:
Applicants should seek funding from their institutions to cover transport, accommodation and Dinner ( especially Upcountry participants).
Refreshments will be provided by the consortium.
Deadline for applications is 16th October, 2015.
No course fee is required.
Procedures
Applicants are required to submit a brief letter of support from their immediate supervisors.

I am able to facilitate training because I was introduced to pedagogy for librarians through workshops organised by INASP. Since then I have facilitated pedagogy workshops for librarians
